Unakite Tumbled Stones

First discovered in the year 1874, Unakite was named after the Unaka mountain range located in North Carolina, where it was first discovered. Unakite is known as a variety of granite, which is composed of pink feldspar, green epidote, and clear quartz. In order to be considered unakite it must contain pink granite inclusions. Without the pink granite inclusions, it would be considered an epidosite instead.
